Sarah Colombo

Sarah Colombo is a filmmaker, documentarian and journalist dedicated to telling authentic human stories. As co-founder of Effie Studios, she has created work for Amazon, Disney, Fox, HBO, Netflix, the NFL and more, along with a robust body of healthcare content for Cedars-Sinai that stays highly polished without losing its emotional core.

She began her career as a contributor at Premiere magazine and a staff writer at The Daily Breeze in the South Bay of Los Angeles, where she profiled celebrities including John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman and Jake Gyllenhaal. She has since spent two decades honing the craft of interview across hundreds of conversations for documentary and unscripted television, including work for TLC and Discovery.

Sarah holds an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in English from UCLA. She lives in Eagle Rock with her husband and creative partner, and their two teenage boys.
